1st-World Problems ahoy: Should a Realforce user check out Cherry Browns?

I'm pretty sure they are the numpad variant, yes.

And yes, I have a kinesis, but I'm still trying to get used to it. I get frustrated with it every few hours and go back to my Model M. It's not in my sig because I only have the keyboards I use regularly in there, and the kinesis hasn't entered that rotation yet. I actually have a lot more keyboards than are in my sig.

Tips that might help: Try to use it exclusively for a week. Remap keys that bother you, I swapped the up/down arrows and it felt completely natural, like using JK in vim. "End" thumbkey works great for "Ecscape" too. Also, force yourself to avoid one-handed combos; use 2 hands for *all* key combinations. It's smooth sailing after that :-)

I know I should, but it's just so frustrating getting used to it. Plus, I only have the one, so I can't use it all the time anyway, unless I carry it back and forth to the office. I plan to keep trying, though.

Topres aren't even in the top three of the Favorite switches in the poll (N=434 if you can read white font on white background).

So it's safe to say they aren't the "one size fits all" switch.

Isn't more likely that people chose between only those switches that they have tried? And that very few people have tried a Topres? I'd only consider a poll evidence here if it was restricted to people who had tried the switch.

Hmm - if I'm going to keep posting here, I might want to change my avatar. As theferenc and I have already agreed, we have nearly identical cats...

Yeah, but different poses, so it's totally distinguishable. Then again, one of the cats is mine...

Who here types faster on a cherry than realforce?

I definitely faster on the cherry blacks. The springs pushing back my fingers and as a result the typing experience is more fluid and I would say 10% faster.
