Adding Weight to a Mouse...
« on: Thu, 23 June 2011, 01:04:03 »
Hi guys,

Can anyone give me advice on how to safely and discreetly increase the weight of an MX518, so it's closer to that of a fully-loaded G500?  Having gamed intensely for a decade with MX700s, 518s, and G500s, I've decided I enjoy the exact layout of the 518 but miss the heavier weight of the G500.

It's probably a nerdy OCD thing to want something *that* specific, but a man has to dream!

Open it and glue some piece of metal into it (upper shell).
No real danger allthough you might need new mousefeet after that.

yup agree with that (distribute it evenly imo or center it to avoid "drifting)
