« on: Thu, 23 June 2011, 16:01:51 »
hey i just got a new router and me and my friend were playing call of duty 4 together off of it and it was working perfectly fine, but now its lags so bad i cant even play myself? i have no clue what is going on, i have restarted the router tons of times and the only solution i can think of now is switching back to the old non wireless one. this is REALLY pissing me off

Ok, location and time of day check (along with a wifi band check)

What wifi tech are you using to connect to the router (assumed since the old one is non-wireless that you are indeed doing wifi)?
Which channel?
What time of day did these issues begin?  Have you tested drastically outside of this ToD (for instance if it's 6pm have you tried 10am)?
How dense is the housing where you are located?
Is there any industry in close vicinity?  What level (industrial/commercial/light commercial...)?

Or if you just wanted to rant you can ignore the questions.

Mmm, I have reverse assumptions regarding neighbors.  My nearest neighbor isn't close enough to leach without a yagi on BOTH ends..
