I must say, Model F buckling springs feel fantastic. However, those aircraft carriers are just too big to be practical.

Just as it seems to be about the size of a model m, I don't think that the regular AT F is any different in size either because it only has the numpad on that side.

Correct, it's roughly the same length as the AT and XT Model Fs. The layout is also far more practical IMHO.

can you convert these things to use with a modern PC?

Why all the hype for them?

There was someone on eBay selling 6016730's a few months back.  See this thread:
http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?14728-Ibm-6016730-50-bin&highlight=6016730
He had several available at the time, so might want to check if he has any more.  That is if the price is acceptable and if that model is acceptable in lieu of the 1387033.

The 6016730 uses a different signaling protocol over a parallel interface. No conversion has been performed yet, and would not be trivial.

Right, by aircraft carrier I was referring to full size 122-key terminal boards.

Probably has something to do with them being the best keyboards ever made.

kishy was right, nobody who claims to have them online actually has them in inventory. I've managed to get Argecy and Memory4less to remove their listings, but evidently the big parts search engines don't update their databases regularly enough.

I didn't realize he was referring to ch_123, but I guess it doesn't matter at this point.

These are not AT keyboards, you need an active converter for them. Fortunately, these are cheap and simple to make.
