ALPS Buckling Spring keyboard
« on: Fri, 26 August 2011, 19:14:23 »
Looking for:
  • G80/G86-62410 MX SPOS "ricercar". Looking for NIB.
  • ANSI G80-3000/1800
  • ANSI G80-8000 series
  • Topre Realforce
  • HHKB Pro
  • Compaq MX11800
  • Other ANSI Cherry MX 'boards, preferrably the 8000 series
  • Whatever you think I might like.
Have the following keyboards to trade:

  • ALPS SM-101 (ultra-rare ALPS Buckling Spring switches. Yup, that's right- the "holy grail". Made in Japan) - Will trade for min. of 3x NIB ricercar boards + cash. Make me an offer I can't refuse. This is a real collector's item. Excellent condition.
  • NMB HITEK AT, PS/2 and USB tested 84-key Model F AT clone (FULL NKRO, with tactile space invader switches which feel just like Cherry Clears. Collector's item. Like New.)
  • Antec KF-91R Compact 91-key (Rebranded FILCO w/unusual PCB/plastic-mounted ALPS, maybe strongman. Very unique sound and feel. Also rare. Like new.)
  • '96 Model M 51G8572 (Greenrock built, like-new condition)
  • '86 Model M 1390120
  • Several Apple M0110 + M0110A models. Used.
  • Several Texas Instruments terminal 'boards (with the much-celebrated Brown ALPS. Used.)
  • Zenith Data Systems XT (green linear orig. complicated ALPS. Used.)
  • Belkin ADB-USB adapter. These are getting harder to find every day.

That's all I can think of ATM. If you're looking for a specific keyboard, I might have one. Just ask. I've got a pretty extensive collection I've built up over the years.

All of these keyboards have been meticulously refurbished or are in otherwise excellent condition, unless otherwise noted.

Space invaders feeling like cherry clears? I've only ever seen/heard ones that would best be described as blues.

There are tactile non-clicky NMB switches.

I'd like to have one of those one day then. More or less to see what it's like.

I have a ISO-De Layout NIB g80-3000 LSMDE with mx blues and ps2 cable. Box has one rip, I cant send you pics if you are interested.
Other things ive got NIB are an Ortek MCK-104 (http://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=604), an interesting XT board from the 80s using mx blacks called the WICO Smartline (programmable colmak/dvorak, trackball), and a transtek KB MCK420, which is a terminal keyboard, no clue what it would be used for though^^. 20 F-keys, old UK enter, let me know if you want pics of anything.

Stuff im looking for would be Alps boards, possibly a Siig Mini, something compact. Other then that im open for anything intersting.

Thanks. And Ascaii, I have several ALPS keyboards, including some well-preserved terminal 'boards with early (think Apple M0110) ALPS switches and spherical caps. I know you're into terminal 'boards, and I have a few doozies that you might find interesting. I'll take some pics, but PM me if you're interested and I'll do it right away.

And I'd LOVE the G80-3000, if only it had a US layout. I'm still sort of interested, though, if it were a straight trade. Pics aren't necessary, but I'd like to know if it's black or white, and what year it was made. Thanks a ton.

The NMB tactile switches are fabulous for gaming. High activation point, full NKRO, and all the F-keys on the left-hand side. It's in like-new condition and has THICK dye-sub keycaps. Will post pics soon.

Would you trade anything for an OKI Electric Keyboard? Has slight yellowing which the images make it look worse. So a retr0brite clean should fix that! Also needs a clean, otherwise it's in nice condition.

Can you take pics of the SM-101, including a detail shot of a switch with a keycap removed?

Thanks!
