I don't get the cancel = burglar. Am I missing a game reference?

Ctrl+X= Cut, it's like grabbing something away to the clipboard and far from view.

Oh, a Windows reference. The burglar makes sense now; they stole the ASCII CTRL key and used it for menu shortcuts.
