Kensington Orbit Wireless Mobile Trackball.

No idea as to the quality etc etc etc. I don't usually use these as they seem too cumbersome for my paws.

looks pretty good but i still prefer the ones that have the ball under the thumb.

i cant believe i gave my trackman to a friend as i had a phase of mouse only

Logitech M570. I use it mostly with my laptop. It leaves something to be desired, but I keep using it.

Is it really a great idea to have a thumb ball like that? The thumb-to-hand joint isn't the sturdiest one. Mother nature did a pretty crappy job there..

I've been using a Logitech thumb ball model for as long as I can remember... I've been sitting in front of a computer for 8+ hrs a day for 15+ years.  I have no RSI issues and no problem at all with using a thumb ball.  That said, I'm not happy with the M570 and went back to my TrackMan Wheel.

Tried it and promptly returned it. While I was interested in having a wireless "finger ball" there were just too many other things not quite right with it. Did a little review here: http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=Island:21731

The expert mouse and slimblade have a back button. They're just economizing on space, but I'll agree that it's an aggravating design choice. We use those buttons!
