Sent an email to WASD out of curiosity:

Would you guys sell a keyboard without keycaps? For a reduced price?

Thanks

Hi Ben,

Due to popular demand, I will be releasing a "DIY" model shortly that will include the stabilizer parts, but no keycaps. Pricing is still TBD and it won't be until at least this coming weekend that I'll have time to work on getting it on the website. Thank you.

Best Regards,

Weyman Kwong

Now all they need is a TKL version and many of us will have a new option outside of the limited TKL red boards out there now.

Now to convince them to have WASD ship the boards completely disassembled...That sounds like fun...I'd feel like one of the Koreans.

I already asked before and was kindly shot down by the "factory". My goal is to eventually have most of the assembly done in the US. This will allow further customization for custom built keyboards and also allows me to offer more and more parts.

The name isn't decided yet. ClickClack threw out "topless" which was pretty hilarious, too.

Haha.. "Topless" sounds pretty good and catchy if you ask me.  Better use that before someone else does. lol

Edit: still waiting on your tenkeyless model. =d

I know this is a little bit off topic but I wanted to mention that WASD Keyboards are great and I had great buying experience with them on two occasions (key caps). I had a question and Weyman emailed me back within 10 minutes (=
As for the naming... I think "topless" sounds pretty good. Especially for Cherry MX Red boards... u know, a cloud of... ^^

The "topless" name is easy to understand and fun. I like it very much.
Might be interested if someday WASD releases an ISO version :)
