Left shift key on Leopold fc500r brown seems to be muddy or stiff?

This is my first mechanical keyboard and I'm absolutely in love with it.  The only problem I have is that the left shift key doesn't seem to "bottom out" completely, as if something is blocking it on the bottom, and it doesn't have the "clack" like every other key.  There's some weird resistance, it seems muddy or stiff like a rubber dome keyboard.  Could this be a manufacturing defect, a stabilizer that needs lubing, or intended? The right shift key doesn't seem to have this problem.  Thanks for your assistance.

Best bet is to remove the keycaps and study/see it yourself(provided you know how/what to do). We can't really give you the accurate answer without touching it or even a picture...

The metal bar of your stabilizer is not fixed to it. Pull off the keycap and block the bar into the 2 jaws.

Keycaps pulling tools? Who need it if a steelwire will serve better(on Costar style stabiliser, Cherry "X" style haven tried)?

So it's a cherry stabilizer and not a wire stabilizer but I lubed up the two notches/indentations on the key and it seems to have basically fixed the issue for me.  One last question, for the shift key, can you accidentally put it back the wrong way o r does it only fit one way?  The long side is facing me, the shorter side is facing the top of the keyboard.

from my past experience, cherry stabilizers have various of squeaking issue due to the stem of the stabilizer rubbing against its place holder ( i have no idea how should i call it ).
could be manufacturing defect because it only happens on my 7G and lubing it doesn't seems to help much

Yeah there's no squeak it just feels mushier.  Lubing it fixed it for me though.  Anyone know about my second question? (Can shift key be placed the wrong side down?)
