Finally, a mechanical keyboard
« on: Tue, 14 February 2012, 21:28:29 »
The title say it all. I finally got my first mechanical keyboard in the mail today, a Rosewill RK-9000BR. I've done a ton of research before I broke down and ordered one. I was between this and the Filco Majestouch 2 Ninja FKBN104M\EFB2. The reason I choose the Rosewill over the Filco came down to a combination of availability, reviews from the wiki, impatience, and price. Plus I figured what I saved in the price difference I could use to start getting different key caps / layouts .

Thank you geekhack.

1 of many...if you think I'm joking I'm not. Now onto number 10 and still want more. All it takes is someone to say have you seen this and show you a sexy photo. > I'm looking at you Ripster.

So far I'm liking it. I haven't used it much yet but that will change here shortly. My initial thoughts for this keyboard is that I'm liking the feel of the keys and weight of the whole keyboard. I'm thinking that I'm gonna need a wrist rest for home due to the height of my desk.

For now, this is going to be one that I will use at work and home. When I get the money saved up for another, I think it will be a Filco but we'll see what's out at that time. For now, I thinks it time to start ordering some key caps :)
