17 Etched WASD Looseys - Anything You Want
« on: Sat, 03 March 2012, 10:10:38 »
I'm ordering a full set of keys from WASD for my TKL. If you only want a few keys, your design can hitch a ride on my numpad. They will be etched [printed], not engraved [embossed]. US$3 each via Paypal, shipping & handling to be determined [USPS first class]. Surcharge for non-US orders on a case-by-case basis.

I will be sending the order in next Sunday, March 11. Please provide artwork by Friday, March 9 as an Adobe Illustrator or PDF document along with any fonts used. Unfortunately, this order will be subject to the backorder of Dark Gray R1 1x1.25 keys, so it will not ship from WASD until 'mid to late April.' I will not bill you until I have received the keys from WASD.

First-come, first-served in order of replies to this thread. State the letter(s) of the keys you want, then private message me with your name, mailing address, and email address. The following keys are available.

A) R4, 1x1
A) R4, 1x1
A) R4, 1x1
A) R4, 1x1
B) R3, 1x1
B) R3, 1x1
B) R3, 1x1
C) R2, 1x1
C) R2, 1x1
D) R2, 1x1 (Dot)
E) R1, 1x1
E) R1, 1x1
E) R1, 1x1
E) R1, 1x1
F) R1, 1x2
G) Numpad +
H) Numpad Enter

If this goes relatively smoothly, I'll do the same thing with another key set I have in the works.

I would love to partake in this, as I've been considering a bulk purchase from them for promotional givaways. Really been curious about their quality firsthand, since I've read universally good things about WASD.

As I'm not that familiar with illustrator, but I do have a bit of photoshop experience, would you still prefer a PDF over a .psd file? I would assume you need to submit to them a composite of everything we give you, plus what you designed for yourself. Also, do you know of any ideal resolution for the graphics, or DPI settings we need to be aware of?

Everybody loves boobs! From the pictures on WASD's site, it looks like the dot is dead-center and pretty small.

WASD charges $5 extra per image for non-vector art, which is what you get from Photoshop. That would make it $8 if you got it through me. For $10, you can get exactly the key you want, directly from them, faster. http://bit.ly/zmyq97

Generally speaking, if you're doing black-and-white text or line art, vector is the way to go.
