Straight to the point... I am looking for a full mxred board

Locally I have a choice of Corsair or Ducky. Corsair K60 goes for 125USD approx and Ducky 1008 mxred goes for 95USD. Locally there are no other choices.

I have heard too much bad feedback on duckies here for me to not mind it. Corsair however, I don't like the non-full mechanical idea - i think its stupid(no offense meant to corsair fans). Plus I think corsair could have gone for a more simple design.

I have a friend in Singapore who I can ask to purchase a full board for me. I am looking for a simple keyboard. I don't need backlights. I don't need fancy case e.g. I want it as simple as can be. I'd still like it to be a solid board with (what they call and what I often hear as) costar stabilizers. I'd prefer non-overpriced keyboards as well -- if you know what I mean.

What other brands can I choose from? I don't know a lot of the good keyboard brands specially the keyboard brands that aren't popular internationally. I have seen some posts here before showing keyboards with slightly non-popular brands. Unfortunately I could no longer find them.

Help me out.

Are you in the US?

If so, the Rosewill RK-9000 with MX reds would be your best bet.

Also depending where you are, A Leopold / Archiss / Keycool might be a choice. Should be able to get one of those in Singapore, I think, if you can't locally. They are all essentially the same board, though the casebody on the Keycool fullsize is terrible looking.

I only have 2 choices from where I am. Corsair OR DuckyI am not joking....... there are really only 2 choices for mx red keys from where I am. The mechanical keyboard market is just taking its baby steps here in the Philippines. Filco reds aren't even available here. I'll be lucky if some block orders a keyboard and sells it online locally.

The retailers are all playing it safe and testing the market with surveys on what type of switches is popular and they only get one type of switch first to see if it sells good. Usually they get mxblacks or mxblues because they are popular since Razer and Steelseries have good marketing on their own and will survive even without added marketing on the retailers part. and I have no plans on ordering online as I wan't to avoid brushing up with my country's customs department.

Singapore is my best bet on getting other brands.

there are also cmstorm quickfire rapid in reds here in Singapore, retailing at about 150 sgd....(120 usd)

check out this pdf for the pricelist of one of the shops in Singapore.
Prices of some common mechanical keyboards are listed there and the price probably won't deviate from that too much.

Really?!  wow that's quite expensive for the CM's.  The only thing is that Shogrranis looking for a full deck... the CM's is a TKL board.

I think if you can... you only other option is to get a Leopold red.... Have you tried EliteKeyboards?  Not sure what they have in stock but I know they ship internationally.

yeah, thats the price they list up; which you will get if you don't bargain I think.

Its probably possible to get it 10-30SGD cheaper if you got the contacts and go directly to a distributor (or buy them during IT fairs: theres one coming up in a week btw so shorrgan you should decide soon if you are getting your friend to buy ;P)

Ah right, missed that bit about full keyboard lol.

Yeah... The CM's tend to be my 1st recommendation for anyone when they are after a good red board. By the looks of it though... their up coming full deck reds is going to be a bit of a let down.  Branding or no... CM's hit the sweet gooey soft spot between price and quality with the Quickfires Rapids.  Man I should really be careful here... I'm starting to sound like such a bloody fanboi.

I'm already a fanboy of the cmstorm qfr... they just really are the best buy of the TKLs. But the thing is... I already have the cmstorm qfr although it's mxbrown. And I need the numpad. I hope I can just buy a separate mxred numpad but I doubt it would work in the game I plan to use it for. I really do want a full board. Any other brands other than the rosewil and leopold? As long as it is costar stabilizers though...

Just thought of something while I was typing another reply.... WASD?  Have you tried them? To my knowledge... they use the OEM Costar (correct me if I'm wrong here guys) for they base boards, full deck, available in red and you can customise your keycaps till your hearts content!  Perfect!  Good reviews as well!

Check them out.

I don't even know if it will be better having it shipped to my friend and then have him carry it to me or if its better to ship it directly to me. :( I hate customs.

Which is the cheaper option?  Normally things like a keyboard passes through customs with ease... It's just like any other consumer electronic goods.

Have a look here
http://global.pchome.com.tw/english/?mod=store&func=style_show&SR_NO=SBAE0U&tm=e
Global shipment for 20$ which is pretty sweet...
For full sized keyboards they offer:
i-rocks KR-6251 red-axis mechanical
Ducky ChuangJie DK9000G2 red
Cherry G80-3000 MX BOARD(Red switch)
Cherry G80-1865(Red switch)

or here
http://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=leopold,fullsize
They have 2 fullsize Leopold keyboards with MX Red switches.
Even a mechanical numpad but thats not MX Red...

Only one problem with all those.... Shogrran wants Costar stabilisers.... most if not all the ones you listed have Cherry stabilisers.

Oh I overread that :S
Then prolly a WASD/DAS/Filco/Rosewill as they use Costar stabilizer as far as I am concerned... But I do not know where to get a Filco with MX Reds... and DASkeyboard issn't available with MXReds either I think
http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/products/semi-custom-keyboard.html
Maybe a Filco majestouch linear R ? Don't know where to get those though...
Ducky/Leopold/Keycool/KBC don't use Costar stabilizer either...

edit: http://www.vendio.com/stores/E-sports-Gaming-equipments/item/mechanical-keyboard-noppoo/new-noppoo-pro-mechanical-keyb/lid=23343570
thats a noppoo mechanical keyboard with mx reds and costar stabilizer
Another choice might be a PLU ML-G3000 w/MX Reds.

Hope that helps =]
