I, too, have learned a lot from this dude. His monumental efforts have provided great value to people all over the world.
He has a lot to be proud of, and might well be one of the, if not actually the, most knowledgeable persons around when it comes to keyboards, but that #1 thing and voting is pretty pitiful. For example, how could someone who knows as little as me be competent to evaluate a true expert?
My boss thinks that I am a computer genius, but I would rate myself as no more than an "intermediate user" at best. I ask my 14-year-old daughter for help writing a Word document sometimes, and I was using Word before she was born!
Hence my refusal to vote in his silly poll, I am not qualified, and the results are certainly spurious.
But the important factor is the massive body of knowledge that he has created and donated to the world. For that, he really does deserve recognition.
