Topre Realforce simultaneous key press issues
« on: Sun, 27 May 2012, 03:16:57 »
Proud owner of a Realforce 103 here. I have recently discovered that my keyboard is suffering from mysterious problems when playing fighting games (similar to street fighter), and I wanted to see if anyone has any idea what is going on here...

Simultaneous key presses consistently register as sequential key presses in these games. For example, if I press "A + B", it registers as A immediately followed by B. Note that key presses are not lost or delayed in any way, only that they do not register as being pressed at the same time. That's why other games work just fine, but for certain moves in fighting games I need to have strictly A+B.

(For those not familiar with PC fighting games, they usually have training modes that show you your inputs as you play. That's how I verify this.)

Now, you might say that this is probably due to the way the game handles keyboard input. But with the rest of my $10 non-NKRO USB keyboards piled up on my desk, everything works perfectly fine. I have been using this keyboard for a long time, there is no other problem that I know of, NKRO works as expected...

Any ideas what might be causing this?
