options for 104 key clicky alps keyboards?

i tried a siig while at frys the other day and liked it. i'm looking for a keyboard with the standard layout though, none of the backwards L enter key and tiny backspace, and preferrably one without a giant footprint like the at-101. ideally one i could buy new.

through my searching so far, i've managed to find the filco zero (no longer being made?), and the ducky 1008 xm. how's the quality of ducky keyboards? i've seen them mentioned before, but never really see them recommended here. are there any other options? also, are the green alps in the duckys much different from the white alps in the siig?

The Ducky1087 that I recently purchased have the green clicky alps. They are definitely lighter than the whites that I salvaged from another board. I transplanted the (white) switches into an ABS M1 keyboard. The greens are light in feel, like Cherry Blues (the switches I use on my main boards). The 1087 TKL board I purchased wasn't injection(?) molded very well, and the keyboard rocks from corner to corner, and it's really annoying. The board was only ~$55 shipped, though, so I can't really complain. I would recommend giving it a shot if you're on a budget.

The green alps are lighter and more wobbly than the white ones in the Siig...at least, from what I remember when I tested the Siig at Fry's.

I should probably point out that the reason why I was at Fry's testing out keyboards was that my Ducky 1008XM had just died after only two months of ownership. Approach with caution.

I've been interested to try out Alps for awhile. Seems really if you want something modern looking without the bigass enter Ducky is pretty much it, or tracking down a Zero or Leopold but I have only seen it in tenkeyless. There is always a bunch of vintage Alps stuff on ebay, and as you say they pretty much all have enormous case body, bigass enter or are ADB Apple boards that you need hard to find adb adapter or a lot of modding work to use it.

That's one of my daily drivers, pricy though.

There was one other one i was looking at that was reasonably priced and still in production, had a really weird name, i'll post if i think of it.

darn, i was hoping i'd just been overlooking something when trying to search myself. oh well, guess i'll just stick with my unicomp for now unless filco or leopold decides to do another run.

The Solidtek 6600 is okay, sold by DSI, and rebadged by Siig at 30 bucks more.

However, the layout may drive you mad.
