Filco Ninja Magestouch 2 vs Max Keyboard Nighthawk x8?

Ok guys so I've actually went and bought the Max Keyboard Nighthawk x8 but how does the filco fare against it? I've been reading up about the quality of filco and overall it does look like it's better built.

I know the filco is a bit more expensive and it appears that it doesn't have as many features as the nighthawk x8.  I'm just wondering if the build quality is enough to warrant the extra money?

Lol I know right? Despite the retarded marketing, it's my first mechanical keyboard and so far it seems decent.  However being my first mechanical means I have no other basis for comparison so I really don't know if the other brands are truly "that much" better in comparison. 

My prerequisites for the keyboard were:

-Mx Brown Switches
-Costar Stabilizers
-Full standard keyboard layout

I really wanted the filco ninja but it's around $150.  I ended up getting the nighthawk for $125 shipped and it came with a nice wrist rest.  I'm not sure if the extra money is worth it to upgrade to the filco so I was hoping for some opinions.

Even if build quality is better you aren't going to get any customer support from the Filco. My nighthawk x9 had a wrong key (2 Y keys instead of Y and U) and I emailed them and received an email back within a few hours saying that they are going to send me a replacement keycap and all they need is my address. I'd have to say the nighthawk has more functionality and the Filco is a bit sexier but its preference.

Hmm, my biggest concern was if the keys felt a little bit better on the filco.  I'm assuming not because they use the same exact brown switches and costar stabilizers.  I believe both keycaps are abs as well so there isn't any really difference at all besides the style.  I gotta say though, the filco would look really nice with some lavender wasd keys and a red esc key.

Also yea, I noticed that the people at max keyboard are pretty fast to respond too.  That's definitely a selling point especially since they are in the US too.

That's not the problem, the problem is that if Filco did make that sort of mistake, trying to contact the manufacturer and solve the problem quickly would be a lot harder with Filco. I don't have a Max keyboard but my friend ordered from them and they seem to have a very fast and efficient customer service.

Haha sending a keyboard with 2 y buttons is a bit sketch but at least they corrected the mistake very quickly. 

I've emailed them twice and gotten prompt responses too so I think they'll have you covered in case anything happens.  They shipped from california so it's nice for those that live in the US.

I guess you didn't notice the thread from several months ago where someone received a Filco with two identical keys. I believe it had a second Q instead of O.

But amazon has a good exchange/return policy, I have two filcos and can't be more satisfied with the build quality of the keyboards.

Maybe I'll just buy a filco from amazon and test them both out haha.  The occasional backlight from the keys is nice to have though.
