What has thou don'st?!

I think Brian has been breathing in too much of that stuff that causes his keyboards to have that 'new car' smell...

As sacrilege as it might be, at least the paint job looks pretty good.  I'm impressed.

Listing sez:
"These have fiber glass plastic casings that were originally painted white so I saw no reason to not go ahead and repaint it a different color."

Ah, so that's why F and M cases are slightly different in color... the M's is unpainted solid plastic.

Fiberglass, huh?  I wonder if keycaps make from fiberglass would go shiny like plastic.

It looks very interesting. Somebody must present DIY instructions for this good job!

Too pity i did not snipe on this model F.  My only complaint with that piece is its black color. I think it would look better with another softer black tone or industrial olive drab. Do you agree?

The black is OK, but yes, some dark grey or olive would certainly also match well.

So? What's the verdict. Real or not model M? Painted or not painted? Airbrushed?

This is certainly a mod-job.  It wasn't until much later that IBM (or Lexmark/Maxi Switch/Unicomp) made black keyboards.

Ripster is an IBM keyboard fan boy. He spent more on IBM keyboards this month, than normal people spend on all their boards for a lifetime.

I didn't think about that, but you're right.  Between an NIB Model F and Industrial Space Saver, ripster has started his own economic stimulus plan.  I hope his wife got something for Xmas, too.  He probably got her a Unicomp On-The-Ball.

Still haven't reached how much I've spent on video cards in my lifetime.  Gotta keep it all in perspective.  And my video cards suck [now]!

Keep it in perspective, Ripster.

An ass-massager?  I bet if she modded it, she could have a lot more fun with it.  Ripster could help, too; he's good with that sort of thing.
