This is mine, so I wouldn't mind some madness. After seeing some of these go for good money I finally decided to put it on Ebay. Maybe I got a bit greedy, but I can certainly use the money to fund my Buckling Spring addiction.

It is always nice to take advantage of fellow geekhackers, and make a decent profit. Usually that's the way I roll.

Buying both a Topre and a NIB IBM Model M Space Saving keyboard (thanks again MissileMike!) was expensive, so it would be nice to get some cash back by selling some of my other keyboards, starting with this G81. I now have one bid at $50. If that's where it ends I'd certainly be somewhat disappointed, but so be it. I suspect and hope it will go quite a bit higher though. In any case I'll probably be putting some other boards such as Filco's and IBM's on ebay or GH soon.

Not sure how it can really go higher in spite of that, since the only rare thing on this board would be it being an NCR rebrand.

That appears to be a lasered-on version, versus the doubleshot -HAU I had of the same model. Not sure how it can really go higher in spite of that, since the only rare thing on this board would be it being an NCR rebrand.

That is Sublimated-Dye keycaps which is obvious by it's brownish tint.
Lasered keycaps have a greyish tint to it.

Parak posted those 10$+ shipping NCR keyboards in the great finds section of this board as a contribution to the community.
You jumped on that deal, then after seeing some of those go for good money on Ebay(shill bidding ftw), you decided to make a huge profit on it.
However at least you put it on Ebay instead of the classified section.
Well done! You, Moogle and ricercar ought to get together and drinking some beer.

This section should be renamed into "great profits".
Is there some NCR stock? I would like to get some.

This is approaching a point where I will start recommending a Realforce, just for a cheaper PBT dye-sub experience. Oh, and you might actually use the board the keys came with too.

If you didn't realize... that is as well Hamblet.

Anyway, the funny thing about these boards that everyone here is milking for profit is that Parak himself actually never got one of them. When he first spotted them he offered to grab one for me as a proxy, since he saw it on my long buying list since a long time. So he grabbed two boards and posted the link after. Sadly the seller ****ed up and Parak got G83 rubberdomes instead. So in the end he gave everyone this nice deal and never got one of the boards himself. Sucks.

Maybe they LIKE G81 keys in Korea?

It's time like these that I wish Hamblet wasn't our only Korean liaison.

Then there's THIS KOREAN dude at KeyboardThorTheMovie.net (2nd post, not mine.  I'm not Korean).

It's quite obvious it's the same person. He's been banned so many times that the only places he can troll is in these forums now.

Sorry to hear about Parak's rubberdomes. That does suck...

These NCR boards are actually quite interesting. All HO150-STD1-12-17 keyboards have NCR or AT&T branding. Some have a white case, while others are dark grey, much like an industrial Model M. As far as I can tell all dark grey versions are NCR branded, while the white ones can either be NCR or AT&T. All of these boards were made by Cherry, but not all were G81's. Mine is a G81-3077 SAU, but many others are actually G83-3077 SQU boards. And yes, I've wasted some money on a few of those already. Unfortunately that is also likely why Parak ended up with rubberdomes - correct NCR model number, but wrong Cherry number. Only a small percentage of these HO150's seem to be G81's. I'm sure there are a few more out there to be found though.

Actually the NCR model numbers are different. V001 = G81s, V002~V004 = Rubber domes
