Wyse Lot 9 keyboards

Lot of 9 Wyse terminal keyboards not a super deal since 2 boards are domes, but an ok one. Boards missing lots of keycaps, but do some mix and match and should be able to get 2 ok sets out of it. Mostly a good deal for harvest switches.

Sorry, it is not a good deal.  In fact it is a bad deal.  $25 is only the first bid.  There is no BIN.  Worst of all, it is $48.17 shipping.  The keyboards are essentially worthless will all the missing keycaps.

Just because there is not buy it now does not make it a bad deal, and the shipping is not that high for conus either, $28. As long as people don't drive up bid for no good reason, it comes out to about 9 cents a switch including the shipping costs which is an alright deal. Anyone that bid higher than $30 would be silly though I agree.

For those living outside CONUS shipping for a single keyboard is around $50 to $60.  For this collection it would probably be several times that - so from that perspective definitely not a good find.

But for somenoe in CONUS who wanted parts - it would be good.

Most are WYSE 840358's, which is NOT the PS2 version. One does appear to have a full set.

I'd say this wouldn't be bad for a WYSE collector, but note are in good enough shape for me to consider bidding.

Rowdy: Most WYSE 'boards are pretty flat. I can easily fit three or four in a large flat rate box for $60 or so, so it's not all that bad, really.

This would actually be really good for people like me who forgot to buy stabilizers for their phantom.

You can probably fit more, but I only have three WYSE keyboards to test with. Plus, it depends on the keyborad. The ones in his last picture (WY-60 ones) are smaller, and my WY-30 one is smaller still. Also, for priority mail international (the cheapest option for packages over 4 lb) it's mainly done by weight for boxes over 12", and WYSE keyboards done weigh that much.

Maybe not for all 9, but you can ship a surprising amount of keyboards (or other stuff) internationally, for $60.

Hmmm I have only ever been quoted $50 to $70 to ship a single keyboard to Australia, I never asked about multiple keyboards.  But even if I did want these 9 Wyse boards, they are still $25 with no bids, but would be at least $60 shipping, probably more because even though they may be smaller/lighter, there are still 9 of them.

The priority flat rate game board box will easily hold 2 keyboards, even big ones like Model Ms, and you might squeeze 3 smaller ones in, if they are thin enough.

The boxes are about 2 feel long and a foot wide, but only 3 inches thick, so while they are very roomy for even the largest keyboards singly, multiples will not fit end-to-end or side-to-side. All you can do is stack them, and even thin keyboards are an inch thick, seldom less.

I'm just going to get one of mine and see how much room is left after putting all my WYSE keyboards in it.

I got all three in there without too much trouble. The WY-30 keyboard I have (840013) looks like you can fit 5 or 6, as it's almost exactly half the width.
