[WTB] Cream Cheese & Green Full Key Set
« on: Tue, 28 August 2012, 12:24:41 »
Good day everyone:

I know this is a long shot but I guess I'll give it a whirl. I'm looking to complete my new computer build w/ a full 104 Cream Cheese & Green key set for my Filco. I replaced all of the fans in my HAF X case with BitFenix Spectre Green Led Fans, my Naga has the green led going, and all I need to complete the build is some cream cheese and green.

I don't have an extra to sell to you, but if you don't find one now, keep in mind not all of them have been shipped yet. Some international orders may still come up for sale in the future :) GL!

P.S. Nice rig!

Thanks mikd. Putting my computer together led me to mechanical keyboards. I had built a great machine but I wanted everything to be great, and I was still typing on a cheap $20 Logitech keyboard. I started checking out threads on good keyboards and I found out about mechanical keyboards. Now I've got a Filco for home, a Das for work, and an Xarmor clone w/ black cherry mx (just in case).

You will also need a Pure or Race with green backlighting. :D

The leds won't shine through the key caps, so would it just be the spacing between the keys?

Just FYI, it's courteous to wait at least 24 hours before bumping your own thread.

Question about KBT Race... When I look at the KBT Race, the layout of the keys are different than the keyset for cc&g. For example, the left control key looks like a regular row 1 1x1.25 but the right control key looks like a row 1x1. How would I be able to use all the keys from the base set of cc&g on this? Thanks in advance for any help with this...

Good luck with that. The Race has such a f****d up layout, I won't even consider it. You could get a tsangan kit for a 1x bottom row key, but the cursor arrows, right shift, and End key are all bottom row profile 1.25x, the Esc and Del keys are top row profile 1.5x keys, etc...

Go with the Pure, instead. I rescind my recommendation for the Race. :)

However, at least on mechanicalkeyboards.com, the Pure does not have green backlighting. :(

Forgot to mention, for the Pure, you will need a couple keys from the CCnG tsangan kit. 1800 right shift and a star or diamond key for the ~.

I'm certain there are some other, full sized keyboards with green backlighting, but since I'm not really into backlighting for my keyboards, I'm not well versed in the other brands.

Vendor subforum Patrick's Place has Pure with green LED. His username is p.s. I have bought several keyboards from him, and I highly recommended him. Here is the link to his thread: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=34366.0

That's just awesome. I'm thinking about Pure with green led and cc&g but it's going to be hard enough to find a cc&g set, now I'd have to find a cc&g tsangan set as well for the other keys?
