Ok, got the board yesterday afternoon. I would have had the pics and such up then, but we ended up going to dinner with the in-laws.
Anywho...
Here are some pics:
The shipping packaging was done fairly well:

That plastic wrap is actually rather thick, square-cell bubble wrap:

It's in very nice, clean shape:

And it looks like they're dampened cream switches. They are definitely not clicky, but very tactile. There's a satisfying *thock* with them, more pronounced when bottoming out of course. But I think they might just turn out to be my favorite switch so far. We'll see. So far I really like the feel.

As far as adapters go, none of the three of these worked. They're all Microcenter items, so I wouldn't be surprised it they had similar guts. The black one (Inland brand) and the tan one (QVS brand) had similar results. They would register one or two key presses, then stop. The white one (TrendNet brand) had better, but still unusable, results. It would register key presses, but there was a lot of chatter, inconsistent modifier key behavior, random key repeats that often wouldn't stop without pulling the plug. I have a blue cube at work I'm going to test, and hopefully that'll work.

Conclusion: once I have a proper adapter for it, I think I may have a new daily driver. I'm typing this up on it now, obviously using a machine with a PS/2 port. Loving it.
