Back lit Key Cap Set
« on: Sat, 08 September 2012, 14:25:02 »
http://www.ebay.com/itm/keys-only-Mionix-Zibal-60-Mechanical-Keyboard-Replacement-Key-Set-/200791707443?pt=US_Laptop_Replacement_Keyboards&hash=item2ec01e4f33#ht_2550wt_1397

$15 shipped for a full set of key caps for a back lit board. I'm not entirely sure what they're made of, but I've heard they're comparable to the Black Widow ones. They're not actually green as you can see looking at the number row; it's just a poor photoshop job instead of an actual picture of the product.

The ONLY place where it is mentioned that it is only the caps, no the entire keyboard is in the name of the auction. The description just goes on and on about the keyboard, the switches etc. It seems as if they want to trick people to buying it believing it is a complete keyboard.

Looks like a scammer to me.

Edit: Ok, a bit harsh. He will probably send you the caps, and they aren't that expensive, but I still consider it shady behavior to try and mislead innocent  customers like that.

Pretty good deal I think.  Not sure if he's trying to mislead buyers but you shouldn't expect to receive a full backlit mechanical board for 15 bucks....
Someone who bought a set left a positive feedback saying caps arrived fast and in perfect condition.

He has the keyboard for sale as well, so I think he just copied the listing and changed the title out of laziness.  He's sold two sets of the caps already.

Except that you can get these sets for FREE from Mionix, or you could not too long ago anyway. It was thier way of saying sorry for the terrible blobby keycaps everybody.

Presumably you have to have purchased one of their boards I would think?   Even so, that's really cheap for a new set of backlit caps.

I would imagine you'd have to provide proof of ownership for their board?

I'd hope so, otherwise I would assume they'd have a mass influx of randoms claiming them.

I am using these keycaps on my Chicony that I bought without caps, they work great, wish I had a backlit keyboard to take full advantage of them though.
Gotta collect them all
