[WTB] 55g and 62g korean springs
« on: Sun, 14 October 2012, 02:15:00 »
I'm looking to buy 55g springs since they are lighter than MX red springs. Sherryton said he'll have some when he opens his store, but it looks like he's pretty busy right now and been a little unresponsive to questions/PMs. I only need 87 springs, but more would be better.

Please let me now if you have any available to sell, or know where I can source them. If anyone is looking for these as well, I'm willing to put in the time to run a group buy for various Korean springs and switch stickers if you help me source them from KBMania or OTD. I don't really know how to navigate those forums.

EDIT: already bought some springs, offer to someone else.

I'm also looking for 82 of these. Interested if you could source for a GB but I'm basically waiting for Keyboard Story to stock them. Best of luck tracking some down.

He had a thread up but said he wasn't hearing back from purchasers so he was just going to put them in his store. I keep checking for them but they're not there. I'd love to get a hold of some too.

I already bought my springs from someone, but more wouldn't hurt. HOWEVER, if someone has springs to sell, offer it to another member first and I'll take extras if there are any. I guess people can piggy-back off this thread. I'll update the OP with this.

Please help me source these and I'll run a GB. I really hate waiting for only 1 person to be our source of things, especially not knowing when they'll be available.

Looks like sherryton is going to have them up at some point but is waiting on some new infrastructure according to this post: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=35378.msg688398#msg688398

I contacted sherryton about a month ago regarding the springs, and it was too hard to get a response, then he just basically said they're not available anymore until they're posted on his store. I had better luck just sourcing my own.

I got them from someone on this forum that had some extras. He got them from someone on KBDMania that was willing to ship international. If anyone that knows how to read Korean and willing to help us navigate those Korean keyboard forums, that would be great help.

I'm looking for about a hundred of each as well to experiment with, so if anyone comes up with a source, I'd be interested.

Yeah do a group buy.  I'd want 200 55g and 100 62g.

I believe production finishes this week.  It'll take about 1 or 2 weeks from the day it finishes.  Manufacturer has to ship it to my friend, my friend has to ship it to me, and voila!

Nice! Hope you've got a lot!

As a side question.. are Korean 55g springs very unrecommended for ergo clears? (I assume the explanation, if yes, is the chance that there isn't enough force to push the clear stem's nub back up - I ask because I haven't heard about this combo much.)

I built a 55g clear board.  Space bar was the only problem.

I wouldn't mind some of these, was thinking 55g for reds and 62g for clears.

How does it compare to ergo clears?  What was the issue with the space bar?
