Poker
« on: Thu, 29 November 2012, 20:53:41 »
So if you hadn't noticed from my last thread, I'm quite new and a noob around here. I'm in love with my HHKB, so I'm using it for programming and using my Filco for gaming but I need something for my shop computer and thought that I would give the Poker a try. Wanted to know thoughts on it, as well as where exactly I could get one (Still cant pursue the WTB option in Classifieds). Thanks in advanced.

-Your Friendly GH Noob :)

You can find Pokers at mechanicalkeyboards.com. They only have stock of black switch models, but the switches are easy to swap in a Poker. They also carry the Pure, which was supposed to replace the Poker.

p.s., aka Patrick, has Pure's on sale right now in his vendor subforum here.

Oh, and thoughts about it. Well, it uses the standard layout, so new keysets are easy to use without compatibility keys. I love the Poker. I have two right now, both with MX Reds.

Pure is a sister project to Poker and actually came first. It is not a replacement for Poker.

the GH60 project will have the same form factor as Poker and Pure, but it's still quite far until you can get one in your hands. It could mimic the HHKB layout since it's programmable.

Ok thank you, I went on and saw the Poker with Black Switches before bed. Would want to swap them for something I haven't tried yet, I have had blacks an blues already.
