lol that's one way of doing it  :))
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Gotta still do something about that space bar and FN modifier until you get your white caps.

Ditch the second half of the case too, and stick some rubber feet on the bottom.

Would it be more of a dust magnet this way, or just easier to clean?

This would look 100x better if you got a very thin piece of black brushed aluminum cutout and placed on top to hide the pcb, etc.

Something similar to the low profile K60 top plate design would look amazing.  Surprised no one has mocked something up like this and made a group buy.

That is what it is without the bezel, just black. I could pull off the bottom as well, but then I would have to get the USB jack fitted somewhere.

I just want to hide that green PCB with something flat black.

Could you spray paint it? I know it pulls right off. I'm not sure if spray paint would be bad for the PCB, but my guess is that any non-corrosive paint is fine.

Except they have already removed the branding from their keyboards, and probably just clearing the last stock with branding.

That should do it. I just need to use a non-conducting type, like a rubberized paint.

And I bought mine months back, so that does not apply to me does it?  ;)

Buying another when this one works fine is not an option, besides it looks better without the bezel, branding or not. Kinda like an iMac, looks better without the stupid cover and lame Apple logo on the front:

Hmm... I remember someone on here made a wooden case for their Filco and made a friction cap for the controller.

Looks badass. Might try to make one and just take the bezel off of my QFR. If it looks good, maybe even on my Filco.

They look sweet with no casing.

Also, this QFR sounds better without that bezel.
