Keep your precious M13 safe from dust and spills.  I'd buy one but shipping across the Atlantic is 30 dollars.
It doesn't say how well the trackpoint works once it's covered over...

You guys know about the IBM P70 I assume?  Though the keyboard on that is not strictly speaking a Model M.

Once my USB OTG cable arrives, I will plug my Model F into my phone. I have already decided that will be the first thing I use to test it with.

I have never liked what these keyboard condoms do to the keyfeel. I took the ones off my TG3 BL82's (which were, admittedly, under the keycaps), and they improved significantly. I shudder to think how badly it'd ruin a model M.

I guess the good thing is that if you get a keyborad with one, it's a fair bet that the actual keys haven't been touched' as was the case with my cherry G84-4101.

...but then, if you do have to use a splashproof keyboard for whatever reason, a Model M with cover is probably better than any other board with cover.  I have a Toughbook CF-U1 which I have mounted in a block of polystyrene for use in the bath, but the keyboard is fiddly.  The polystyrene needed to make a Model M float would be quite substantial - unless anyone has done a case mod?
