Cherry keys don't lock in on Costar style stabilizers
« on: Sat, 05 January 2013, 13:03:19 »
I've got a Quickfire rapid that I recently obtained a set of cherry corp doubleshots for. The only real issue I had on the swap was that the costar style stabilizers don't fit into the cherry keys (they fall right out....)

What would be the recommended way of securing them? I was thinking 2 part epoxy putty, which worked pretty well on my Razer Blackwidow spacebar a few years ago.

The standard thing most people do is take a small square of paper/scotch tape and place it on the switch/stabilizer bit. Then you push it onto the key, and the folded paper should secure the keycap. That's what I did when certain keys wouldn't fit on my Das.

What rever said, or I've also found a little bit of plastic wrap to work pretty good.
