Ducky Shine 2 Noise (tkl)
« on: Sat, 09 March 2013, 05:20:09 »
Hey guys,
Was just wondering if anyone else with ducky shine 2's has noticed a buzzing sound at the higher settings of brightness. Am not worried about it at all as I wear headphones but will be a tiny bit annoyed if it happens to mine only. Also mine is a tenkeyless version as well with Red LEDs if that matters.
Thanks.

Hello,

I've got Ducky Shine 2 (DK9008) with red switches and blue LEDs. The keyboard is totally silent with all LEDs on at maximum brightness.
Seems to me like a faulty power component. I would be very annoyed if my keyboard was buzzing! Perhaps you should RMA it?

Best regards

I have the DKS2 reds with green LED's.

I can confirm that on maximum brightness, set to always-on, there IS an electrical type of hum which can get annoying if I'm not wearing my headphones. Those freaking LED's can go so dang bright though, so I'm not surprised to actually hear that electrical hum / buz.

Edit;
I bet on pc's with more powerful PSU's you don't get the buzzing. I'm running a Dell XPS laptop - not exactly a power-house of a computer.
