what kind of layout has a std sized \ key
« on: Sat, 09 February 2013, 12:32:51 »
I'm looking to replace some portugese keycaps from a cherry MX switch keyboard to EN-US caps
I notice that the  \ key is the same size as the regular keys, and this isn't a common size

All of the keys that need replacing are the same size
The US keys i need are  1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9   0   -   =   [   ]   \   ;   '   ,   .   /

ISO layouts generally have a |\ that's 1x size.

You might look at boards like the G80-8133 and -8200, which are available in that weird "almost ISO but with a big left shift" and are available cheap used with either lasered or doubleshot caps.

Or worse case, order some from WASD.

Which row and color do you need? I have some that might work for you if you are after Cherry keys.

@Hak Foo
Thanks so much!

@lysol

top row numbers and punctuation on the right side keys are what I need
1   2   3   4   5   6   7   8   9   0   -   =   [   ]   \   ;   '   ,   .   /
i'd also take the a-z keys to prevent difference in color matching

Cherry keys  are exactly what i'm looking for, doubleshot preferred, in white/beige to match an older keyboard in +++++ condition

thanks

Ok, I will have a look and see if I have any or all of those spare. Are the PO keys also Cherry, if so a direct trade could be an option.

Looks like I can accommodate that list, but not all key is perfect, they are a used condition but not poor. The \| key is row C, would go next to the '" key, I guess that was what you were looking for, US ISO style yes?

You're trying to end up with something like this right?

The placement of that \| key , bottom aligned to the enter key, yes.

the actual target keyboard is a G80-5000,

yes the keys are from a HAMPO,
thus doubleshot, Portugese and in excellent condition
the keyboard is sculpted
