what's up with keycool?

I like their stuff. But their website seems to have been forever down.

Head over and you can see lots of stuff that makes you salivate. At pretty reasonable prices.

But you can't contact them (and I can write in Chinese so that's not an issue). You can't buy from the website (their buy links are broken). The only buy outlets are not easy to navigate (I can read Chinese and can't find my way around Taobao).

Must we wait for qtan to do everything? For one, I'm not in the US anyway and shipping costs are significant. For two, he's going to be a middleman so there has to be a markup. For three, I don't want to be dependent on whatever he imports to the US.

Sometimes I think the keycool website guys are a bunch of geeks laughing at us. Maybe they just photoshopped some cool looking things, slapped on realistically low prices and have no intention of selling.

If I recall, these guys aren't cheap.

Strictly speaking it isn't keycool keyboards that I want; it's the multitude of lovely keycaps they advertize on their website AND DON'T MAKE AVAILABLE TO BUYERS

I think MechKeyboards has been pretty reasonable... the not cheap tag would be more appropriate for the likes of Elitekeyboards.

Keycaps isn't something MechKeyboards stock well.
