Question about Sherry's springs

How do the Originative 65g springs compare to stock clear springs? Heavier? Lighter? Different force curve?

Lighter. Original springs are actuation force, Sherry's are bottom out force iirc.

I have sherry's 65g springs on my QFR w/ clears. I can't begin to describe any technical specifications, but they are definitely lighter than stock clear springs. While the stock brown/blue springs used to create ergo-clears are a bit too light, I feel that 65g or even 62g are just right.

I keep hearing that springs commonly lose 5g after awhile of use, wouldn't it be better to higher ones then?

Ok, I bought a pack of 65g for my ErgoDox w/clears, so that's reassuring. Although, I really do like the super-stiff bottom out of stock clears. Helps me focus on the tactile point and type without bottoming out so much.

Clear springs have fewer coils, that's why they're harder to bottom out. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any lighter spring like this.

But it sounds like 62g and 65g are probably what you'll be looking for.  While 62g is closer to MX Red and 65g is closer to MX Black.

People say ideally you want gold 62g springs.  Though Sherryton sells silver 62g springs.

Reds are a bit too light for me. I have some 40A o-rings I'm going to put on the stock clears and see if I like them, otherwise the 65g are going in. Gonna sticker the crap out of the 'dox, too
