Well it's technically a WD, being that they bought out Hitachi's HDD division, but it should still have some kind of model number. 5Kxxxx, 7Kxxxx, or something should be on it

Truthfully, I see nothing of that matter on the drive. no 5K--- or 7K---

This^ Even if it's OEM there should be a number on it like HTS54032B9A302 <---- Just an example. The P/N number may help as well, but is unneeded if the HTXxxxxxx number is on it.

But aren't CC's considered works of art? People normally sell only to their friends or somebody who has done something for them? There isn't anything against you flipping a gift that the artist has given you, but if I were the artist I won't be too happy.
