[sold] QFR w/greens
« on: Fri, 21 June 2013, 00:27:26 »
I have decided linear switches are more suitable.

I am asking $90 paypal for the keyboard. The case has no branding as i have done the "wood grain" modification to the case like in this thread (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=41445).
it comes with a beige set with a |\ key replace with white. as well as the stock caps missing 2 F-row keys. If you dont want the caps then you dont have to take them but the price wont really change. it also comes with 5 random novelty caps.

(Klaxxon set, Brobot obviously not included)

pm if interested.

;D DAT THREAD!, Greens are fairly new, so they command a slightly inflated price; those people in that thread are also mistaken "Ghetto Greens" are made by combining brown stems with black springs.

Nice price, if my ocd wasn't kicking in on that woodgrain mod (skin and oil residue being trapped) I would probably buy it to try greens.

You can always get a replacement case top.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Greens have been around since the 90's at least since G80-3000s with blues use a green switch under the spacebar, so they are not "fairly new", and you've already been corrected by "brown + black = greens" lol

I thought blues differ from brown, being that blues have a plunger that makes the click sound when actuated, I think I mixed up clears with greens; but whatever I stand corrected.

Hi :) Are the key-caps double shot key-caps? And are they from the group buying here? I want to know that can I just have the keycaps?

looks like it will come with a beige cherry doubleshot set, and not the red/white keycaps you see on the board.
No, he’s not around. How that sound to ya? Jot it down.
