Model M 1391406
« on: Sun, 16 June 2013, 11:58:43 »
Hi,

I'm looking to get a Model M keyboard but I have two requirements: It must have the UK layout, and it must be made in Scotland (Because I'm Scottish and would love to have one!).  I seem to have identified the part number '1391406' that has the layout and appears to be made in Scotland.  Can anyone confirm this and is it the case that the part number was only ever made in Scotland since some I'm finding have the part number but don't show the birth certificate.

Also, what other part numbers of Model M have a UK layout and are made in Scotland?

Thanks in advance,
Cameron

Buy an early one.

I have had 2 mid-late-1990s Greenocks and both had problems.

“He can’t accept the fact that he lost, it’s literally driving him crazy,” Biden said.
He added that the former president “wants to terminate the Constitution” and “says if he loses there will be a bloodbath in America.”

Pretty much this. The UK facilities were pretty bad as far as QA/QC with a lot of sloppy hand-processing and worn tooling. The older the board, the better the chances of a working example. Most EU layout keyboards were made in the UK facilities, I suspect because of the hand-processing making it easier to deal with diverse layouts.
