Aluminum case for Filco TKL
« on: Wed, 10 July 2013, 18:49:58 »
I bought a Filco TKL without the case from user Kayliss and now I need one. I saw that Vortex case on MechanicalKeyboards at $156 (link). Is it worth or I can find a better deal?

Sméagol I believe that's the only place you can buy it, is it worth it, you need to wait and see what people post regarding the fitting, final finish, some people complained that both parts don't match even, but lets see what users have to say. Its the cheapest aluminum case on the market for sure.

I wholehearted vote two thumbs down for the Vortex case. I think it's a seriously low quality case.

$150 is really cheap for a CNC case. Low price is reflected by the low quality.

The 2nd run cases are crap, or so I hear. They don't fit together properly and can have overlapping lips or noticeable openings where the case comes together. Personally I have a 1st run red vortex cast that fits together like g-string in an ass crack and I love it.

I have a grey one at it fits fine. No gaps, no color mismatch..etc. You wont find an aluminium case in that price range. ever.
I put mine up for sale but for different reasons.

Wow, that is one hell of a simile. I have a very vivid image in my head now. Nothing to do with keyboards, but....

I think there comes a point when I'll just have to shell out for a quality case and be prepared to pay a price that reflects that quality.
