Well, I thought I wanted gold "63"g springs, but after I soldered all of my 62g Clears in, fully lubricated, these already feel much tougher than my favorite Browns. So now I realize I definitely couldn't go with heavier gold springs. Even trying a few switches with keycaps on an empty plate did not give a full impression until I had a complete assembled board. From my experience of playing with single and small batches of switches, they feel significantly lighter individually, but gain toughness when mounted and placed at normal typing angle.
If anything I wonder if I should try stock Blue springs when I take my Blue switches apart for modding. I mean I really like 62g Clears, but I kind of like the softness of Browns, so these feel much tougher in comparison.
One thing to add though is that I definitely type with greater accuracy on these tougher Clears vs. Browns, as Browns are just so easy to actuate
