Hello one and all
« on: Wed, 31 July 2013, 14:15:52 »
Hello, As a long time fan of mechanical keyboards I have recently purchased a QPAD MK80 with Cherry MX blues after falling in love with one my friend bought (his uses MX reds but I won't hold that against him), the QPAD replaces the Cherry G80 with MX blues which I have been using since '96/'97 and my friend suggested I visit this fine site in order to ask if the G80 has any value before consigning it to the attic.

The board is a G80-3000HFMGB which I believe means its UK layout (it is) and has ABS double shot keys, I am told that some people like to harvest old boards for their keys and that double shots are popular for this so I was wondering if the keys would have any value even if the board doesn't.  Sadly the NumLock key is missing however I guess the key set would still be useful for a board that has no numpad (or you could just use a blank key from another board like I have been /shrug).

If that's the only reason you're here, it's probably not worth enough of your time to acquire 60 posts to sell it here, where you probably wouldn't get all too much, especially if the set is missing a cap and has been used for almost 20 years.

It only takes like 2 or 3 days to get 60 posts ;)
