Welcome to GeekHack!
The Q-pad MK-80 has a blue backlight. And you can chose which cherry mx switch.
Cherry mx blues are clicky/tactile(50cn)
Cherry mx browns are tactile but quiet, it's like mx reds with a tiny bump. (45cn)
Cherry mx reds linear and quiet, it's really nice for gaming. (45cn
Cherry mx blacks are the heavier version of the reds and is still linear(60nc)

Linear being that you won't know whether the key actuated or not. It's weird at first but it's really awesome for playing games so are browns. Lol.
45 and 60 being how many grams( I think it's grams anyway) Reds are really light and easy to press. Blacks are a bit harder. Both are linear. If you want something tactile try mx browns or blues. Blues are kind of loud, if you don't like the switch return the board and get a different one.  ;D

Thanks I understand what you mean now :) ...I'm torn between blues or reds I know there completely different but I also do I lot of typing and I really like the STEELSERIES 6GV2 keyboard which I take it is like or is a Switch: MX Blue. The only shop near me that sells them is PC world and they only sell blue 80's. If I want a red I will need to order it direct from Q-Pad.

Would you say reds are kind of spongy?

Nah. Reds are smooth and linear, not really spongy.
It's like typing on on boobs for perspective.
