I like Browns, but I love Clears. Particularly ErgoClears, but stock Clears are very nice too, better than Browns, due to the larger tactile bump. The springs are different, too. They have a more progresssive profile, so they are almost as soft at the top of the movement and harder below the tactile bump movement.
Also another vote for the KUL ES-87. I don't own one, but trust the opinions of the experienced GHers who have bought one and commented about the board.
It has Cherry stabilisers instead of Costar, so they have a little tab that softens the bottom out on stabilised keys. If you don't like how this feels, you can clip the tabs on the stabiliser sliders. I much prefer Cherry stabilisers to Costar, mostly due to the ease of replacing caps without the fiddly inserts and the slider housings of Costars that can foul thick keycaps.
If you do get a KUL and it turns out you don't like Clear switches, you should be able to sell it again for close to what you paid.
