What's your experience with Clickykeyboards.com shipping?
« on: Fri, 04 October 2013, 05:46:36 »
Hi everyone. Figured this would be as good a place as any to ask this question...

A while back I ordered a keyboard off of clickykeyboards.com. The order was placed in late July, and it still hasn't arrived (I live in the Netherlands). So I went and emailed them—no response for a week. I mailed again. No response again for 4 days. It seems to me that although they have great products, there's not much in the way of support or service. I'm not sure how long it should take for a keyboard to arrive from the US to Europe—but 2 and a half months seems excessive. How long did it take for you? And have you ever tried their support?

edit: oh boy, never mind the above. I'm an idiot and emailed their OLD address that they no longer monitor instead of the new one. just got the correct address.

The first small step on the path to enlightenment :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Shipping was quick. I had no problem with their pricing. Like anywhere else, some prices higher, some lower. Shipping from multiple locations if you could find the item you are looking for would cost more.
