Question about Model M key rollover
« on: Wed, 09 October 2013, 18:07:15 »
Ok, I have a model M that I pulled out and got going again. I do have one oddity that I've noticed with it that I don't remember on my other M's. This one is a 1390131, and the other ones I had were newer Lexmark based ones. But basically, the problem is that if I press the Left Alt, I cannot do it in combo with any key on the same row as A. A through ", all do not respond if I am holding the left alt. The right alt is pretty much the same, except that it will work with the G and H keys.

I encountered this because I was using mc at work, and went to pull up the history, which is done via Alt H, and got nada. I know that the M's have 2KRO,  but I figured that would at least get me two keys. The right Alt cannot do B and N either. Is there something I should check for or change here? I didn't know if there was a known limitation on certain M's, or if there is something with the controller I should take care of (which if that is the case, I'll probably be replacing it soon with a RUMP anyway). I also just did a bolt mod on this, and the keys work fine individually.
