Ways to quiet MX blues?

I love my MX Blues, but they annoy the crap out of my wife. I'm buying some stabilizers to prevent me from bottoming out, but is there any way to reduce the noise from them further?

if you bottom out a lot, o rings or "soft landing pads" will certainly help.

lubricating the switches will lessen the click.

It's currently somewhat difficult to make the "top out noise" quieter on cherry mx.

Quite possibly, but some people probably want lighter switches. Not a fan of heavy switches myself. I'd love to try Ergo-Clears, though!

And Browns are too linear for someone who likes clicky switches. Clears would be more suitable.

It's just a suggestion, calm yourself. I realize that he likes the blues, his wife hates them which is unfortunate.
And that's not given at all. I use Blues and feel Browns have a decent amount of tactility, because I type lightly.

There is one other option: buy a Model M. After a few days she'll be begging for you to switch back to Blues. )

That's what I told her. I learned to type on a typewriter and old buckling spring keyboards, the sound of Blues is nothing compared to them, but she's one of those people who never had the pleasure of learning computers through a macintosh II.
