If it was standard size switches it would be a bit big.

Well, To answer your question, "Why not" It would be quite clunky and hard to move around. But, the track pad idea is pretty cool. I agree, It could definitely work with small sized switches. I suppose if you shrunk it down and got a good muscle memory with it, it could increase your productivity time by quite a bit.

The first 2 have 12 customisable thumb buttons, enough for all the numbers plus enter and ".". <- that looks weird. The Cyborg one has essentially 10 buttons and a thumb scroller, so not quite as easy to configure for number input, but possible. Apparently the Logitech one feels really good to use.

Personally, I'd rather use a normal keyboard layer for numpad and a good gaming grade mouse for precision (currently using a Cyborg RAT 3, it's nice and light).
