GreenManGaming.com has Mafia II or Sid Meier's Civilization V (PC Digital Download) for Free when you follow the instructions below.
Note, requires Steam Account

1. Click here to vote for your favorites for the 31st Golden Joystick Awards

2. After casting your votes, you will be prompted to register or log into ComputersAndVideoGames.com

3. After you log in, on the Thank you for voting page, click red text "click here to get your code"

4. You will be redirected to GreenManGaming.com

5. Choose from Mafia II or Sid Meier's Civilization V and log in to register for your free game
Note, if your GreenManGaming.com account log in does not work, try to log in with account information used or created at ComputersAndVideoGames.com

6. After log in, click "I want my free game!"

7. Check your email
You will receive a "Redeem your Free Game" email; however if you try the confirmation link before waiting 24 hours it may say that you have not voted yet

8. After approximately 24 hours, go to "Redeem your Free Game" email and click confirmation link. It will verify and your game will "be on the way".

9. Immediately you will receive an additional email with the Game Activation Key

10. Redeem your Game Activation Key on your Steam Account (Steam activation instructions can be found in your Game Activation Key email)

since I haven't clicked anything here, I'll say up front this could be legit.

But I've heard several times of similar scams. They usually glitch out or require physically buying things to "qualify" for a redeemable coupon that's pretty easy to ignore. They're always structured exactly like this one is described.

...if it sounds too good to be true...

Primary money making source isn't at all the buying of things ... it's selling. Namely, your email. Spammer's lists pay a lot more for a verified working email than for a "seen on the internet somewhere" address.

I've already voted a few days ago and received my free game and redeemed it on Steam.

Just use a non primary email address for this if you are worried about having your email spammed. The Golden Joystick Awards voting is a pretty well known event and GreenManGaming is legit.

It's not like I'd post some sketch deal that would steal info or spam your emails. I actually do research and read comments on things before I post to ensure that deals are legit and are actually good deals, unlike some people here.

Green Man Gaming is a great site. I've bought from them several times in the past and have never had an issue, and I received my free game just fine from the promo.
If you've having any issues, make sure you voted on every category and registered on CVG, then head to https://goldenjoysticks.greenmangaming.com/ and register with the same email

I got the same, tried a few times with the same result. So I tried a scrap twitter account I have and that let me continue, now just waiting for the 24 hours for them to record the votes.

I got my code after I came home from work even though I only managed to submit one vote. Also, I've purchased a couple games from GMG and haven't had any issues activating codes on Steam. They often have pre-order discounts that beat the prices on Steam.

I never had the text saying anything about redeeming a code. I just had it say that I was entered for a drawing for a free iPad.

I tried mine after 24 hours and still nothing, in fact after this post was locked. It came through after about 32, 33 hours. Before then it just said it hadn't registered but I was still on the list, or something like that.
