I hear you can program them to do upskirts.  Is that true?

There is a camera right above the scanner.  I think these Fujitsu machines are too tall, though.  Software updates are a ***** on them, too, since they run Windows 2000.  Stupid Fujitsu.

Lot's of eye-candy at the grocery store.

I actually remember this guy getting berated, like his wife was berating him so bad i felt emasculated walking by!
Right in the aisle. I wanted to hang around to see who would hit first but I was in a rush.

Grocery stores have everyone.  College stores are the breast, err... best.

Ha.  The worst was when I was working in the Pharmacy, and one of the techs said, "watch out for the chicks that come in to pick up prescriptions for Acyclovir*. If they aren't visibly sick, they have herpes."

*Acyclovir is a fairly powerful antibiotic.

FWIW, the Self Checkout lanes at Meijer work just fine for me.  I only get impatient with other people, especially those with 20 items (12 item limit.)  And I swear whenever it gets backed up, there's two people who don't know what the hell they're doing, and the other two machines have people waiting for age verification for booze purchases - which can't be done because the clerk is busy helping the tools at the other two machines.  It's kind of like when you pick a short line that completely stalls because someone whips out a damn checkbook.  I have no patience for that anymore.

Me... I'm that guy that has his card tapped/swiped before the screen even acknowledges I hit "Finish and Pay."

I haven't had a problem with the machines at Home Depot either - might be the same machines.

I would rather support more jobs, but this is one of those things we blame on Walmart.  Meijer had to do it to be competitive.  I could still use a lane, but I'm not going to stand in line for 5-10 minutes simply based on principle.

That's my biggest complaint with self-checkout: the idiots using it.  They might have only two or three items, but it takes them all day to figure it out.

i'm the kind that say's FU to self checkout.
I'm not being paid to bag my own groceries and find a damn barcode.
plus it's been my experience that there is always a "couple" in front of me if i try to goto self checkout and it's always the woman going "your doing it wrong"
guy is "i'm doing it just like the picture!"
no way!

My dad married my mom while she worked at the Air Force Library.

Every anniversary he likes to talk about "Checking her out".

When I was in third grade, or so, my English teacher asked the class if we knew what the word "abroad" meant.  One kid spoke up and said, "my dad calls my mom 'a broad' sometimes."  Back then, I really didn't know what either one meant, but now, I look back and lawl.

I buy my groceries at Pick 'n Save.  Why?  Because it is the only grocery store in town.  ;)

(I DO like Whole Foods will make the trip into Madison on occasion.

^^ I remember going to pick n save as a kid with my grandmother, she loved to shop there for everything, sadly they all closed in the area I grew up in.....i believe my first purchase of silly putty was at a pic n save, it was $1!!

I shop several places since no one place have all that I like to eat. European, Asian, Central/South American, and sometime North African/Middle East specialty markets. Occasionally I buy some things online like dry good that more or less can't spoil when it's a better price. Then for 'normal' stuff like dairy, vegetables, and meat I shop the neighborhood store.

I eat whatever is in the fridge. Sometimes that means starving, but I don't buy the groceries...

When it comes down to that, I just go to McDonalds.

Trader Joes if I feel like going into a hectic parking lot and buying some fresher food and snacks.

Or a Lucky supermarket or a liquor store because they are the closest to me.
