A whim, a plea, a tale of misfortune. Call it what you will, but I assure you this nothing short of heartbreaking, bordering on the ludicrous and frankly at this point, laughable.
As many of you know my Bro Bot luck is bad to say the least. Perhaps the worst on the entirety of Geekhack, unless one of you can challenge my standing record of despair. I have, and this is in no way an embellishment, lost out on 3,
yes 3, Bro Bot sales in the past two months. This combines both giveaways and limited sales, the most current of which having been the Brass Bro Bot, the Aluminium Bro Bot, and the just passed Steel Bro Bot sale. Save for my very first Bro Bot(Electric Bluegaloo) which Bro Bots himself was kind enough to dibs me with shortly after joining, I have
never paid less than $100 for a Bro Bot. These prices are not uncommon in the aftermarket, but I seem to be unlucky there as well having only accumulated 3 Bot buddies in that manner.
On top of all this, there's only a short list of Bro Bots I actively search for (Brass, Dark Aluminium, Steel) and these as many of you know full well are exceedingly rare and my trade thread is quickly approaching it's one week anniversary. Depressing for a myriad of other reasons.
Anywhoo, I'm putting myself out there. I'm making a plea to restore my faith in this bleak and dispiriting quest. I know this community has it's share of poopyheads, but it also has it's share of bighearted and kind individuals and I'm hoping upon hope one of the latter sees this and understands the distress these wonderful little plastic pieces of art can wreak upon a mans soul. I'm looking for a simple gesture of kindness, an extended hand of understanding, someone to be my restorer of faith in this ongoing duration of blind disadvantage.
