Hey, my name is Ben, 32 years old from southern germany. I'm an independent Illustrator and Author and teach drawing in Artschool.
I first came across a member of geekhack when I were no longer satisfied with my keyboard and browsed reviews on youtube in order to
find something nice. (I won't mention what keyboard I had before... but it was a typical rubberdome bastard with half hight caps)
Of course I ended up watching some of Whitefiredragon's vids and understood right away that the guy knows what he's talking about.
Long story short: I ended up ordering a filco majestouch2 TKL from the Keyboardcompany in the UK (since it's taxfree) along with a
few accessories. I was pretty satisfied with it and at first I thought: good job... now I don't have to worry about keyboards anymore.
Well... I was wrong. I liked that Filco way too much and kept watching reviews, shops and eventually geekhack in order to find out more
about different aspects of mechanical keyboards. I read about groupbuys, keycap material and so on... lately I even ordered some blank
keycaps from banggood (I know why they give you the option to hide the company-logo on the package btw) after reading about it on geekhack.
Anyways, that was when I realized I would not just stop caring for keyboards just because I found a decent one... I figured I would get more stuff...
so I might as well join geekhack.
That's it for the moment... and I have to thank Whitefiredragon for making those vids and leading me here.
