Front printed 88 UK layout
« on: Thu, 12 December 2013, 12:48:21 »
Hi everyone I've been searching the internet for a while looking for a specific set of key caps to no avail.

I'm after a 88 UK layout set of white base colour with front/side print. Not to sure which is the correct term on location.

I have seen them on an old eBay link.

If anyone could give me a nudge in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Oh there for a Filco majestouch 2 tenkeyless.

Thanks

Fletch

Hmmm.. so far I have only seen black "shadow" caps (front printed ABS) in ISO from Ducky Nordic and ANSI front printed white PBT: http://www.ebay.com/itm/104PBT-white-side-printed-keycaps-Keyboard-Filco-Cherry-/291001815528?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43c10f51e8

Not sure if the Ducky set is even available separately, I got a set on a G2Pro I bought.
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

i dont think you'll get quite what you're looking for (been on the hunt myself) the best you're likely to get is something like this

http://www.vendio.com/stores/E-sports-Gaming-equipments/item/pbt-key-caps/104-105-pbt-white-side-printed/lid=19686618

and then you'd need to find a black iso enter key.

And left shift and backslash keys. It's hard to live in an ISO country.....

Get blank Ducky ISO PBT white set. Get waterslide decal paper for your laser or inkjet printer. Not only will you not have to hunt them down, you also get the advantage of using any font you like in any colors your printer can produce. The only hard part of the project is putting the decals on straight, but you can make that easy if you print lines under the legend and use that as a guide to line up underneath the keycap edge so you can trim it off with a hobby knife.
Alternately dry transfer letters could be another easy way to go to accomplish putting legends on keycaps in harder to find layout choices.

Thanks everyone for replying thinking of just biting the bullet and going blank or top printed.

It would drive me insane have 2 blank keys against rest side printed.
