Welcome, MidKnight! I'm new here too.I'm currently typing in a dimly lit room on the very similar SteelSeries 7G and have no problem seeing the key legends, but if visibility in low lighting is a real issue, why not opt for something backlit anyway?
No, it's never /that/ dim in here, and I generally touch-type anyway. FWIW, the lock indicator lights (num lock etc.) are actually hilariously bright on the 7G, and I assume the same applies to the 6GV, too.
Haha nice I'm also a dota 2 player who just found this site. I'm currently looking at different MX switches. From what i've read the Red MX's are easy to press and can lead to double clicking so if you have that option turned on it may be counter-productive. I honestly just want something tactile so i know i've hit certain keys like during shift waypoints.
