Like pc said, the LED failures aren't common absolutely, they're just more common than average. if one comes in not working, it'll be covered by warranty so you can get it fixed. It uses the same LEDs as other backlit boards, so that shouldn't be the issue.
I have a Corsair (K60), the board feels really nice and sturdy, the aluminum is great and it definitely looks unique, but not obtrusive, compared to most mechanicals. I'd say if you like it for the appearance, just get it.
If the uncommon LED failure is bothering you, most keyboards will feature MX brown as options, just check some EU sites.
